Song Leader Training

...just finished.

The number of people attended this training was less than I expected.
but it wasn't TOO little.

This training lasted for two days.

First Day
Started with praise session by John (it's actually a demo for us, who dunno how to lead properly =P). Follow up with Hwei Yee's talk about leading praise session. Roughly introduction about praise session, how to lead, why we nidda lead, the accompaniment used, what we should be aware of when leading, the practice session before leading, what songs to choose, etc. etc. Finally, Hwei Yee showed a list. We're going to lead for 15 mins ( I mean everybody.) and the program of each person is different. So we nidda follow the program given, then give our chosen songs to the pianist arranged.

The sad thing was,
I'm the FIRST one to lead. The program is The Opening Ceremony of Youth Camp. My pianist is JIAMIN. (she is one of the main pianist of my church) I'm the pianist of CONNIE also. (stress x100)

Second Day( Today)
Reached church at 2. Nidda have practice for the praise session. Everybody is fighting for the grand piano, cuz the electronic piano, the volume is softer than the grand piano (obviously :P). Jiamin arrived and we have the priority to practice first, cuz I'm the first one to lead :D

Started with Hwei Yee's reminder about everything. Everybody has a paper to drop down the comments towards the leaders. Then it's MINERN's showtime. LOL. Leaded okay, better than I've expected. But they said I'm talking softly, dunno why..

Everybody took their turns to lead and the audience (us who leaded or waiting to lead) started our singing and busy hands. Some funny situations made us laugh. Anyways, it just went well :)

Finished at 4.40pm. (delayed for 10 mins)

THE END.

We're having a cooking session in yf tomorrow. I dunno how to translate the name of the food in English. But just let me type it in chinese. 汤圆. (to all those who dunno chinese, pls ask yr chinese friends to translate for u. To those who are kind enough, tell me the English version then I'll edit it. Thanks and sorry!!)

My team is gonna make this delicacy, by replacing the ginger soup with ICE-CREAM.
creative, right??
